From Kaprun & Zell am See across all mountains
Over 400 km of well-groomed ski pistes with just one ski ticket, this is the future of skiing in the Zell am See-Kaprun region. From December 2019, the two large-scale projects K-onnection and zellamseeXpress make the most diverse ski regions in Austria accessible with just one lift ticket.
A new era of skiing will dawn in Kaprun in December 2019. This is when K-onnection commences operation. The foundations for this unique mammoth project were laid with the new MK Maiskogelbahn and the Kaprun Center in 2018 already. In 2019, this is followed by 3K Kaprun-Kitzsteinhorn-K-onnection, Salzburg‘s only continuously circulating three-cable lift, which manages 12 kilometres and 2,261 altitude metres on the comfortable journey to the summit terminus in 3,029 m above sea level – something that has never been achieved before.
With zellamseeXpress, a further cable car connection has become reality. The foundations for the connection between Schmittenhöhe and Skicirkus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn were laid with the first expansion stage in 2017 already, and the revitalised 3.5 km long ski downhill run has delighted many skiers since then. The next stage will follow in December 2019. From winter 2019/2020, winter sportsmen and women can board the cable car at the lower terminus in Viehofen, which takes them directly from the Skicirkus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn to the Schmittenhöhe.
One card, many advantages
Parallel to the new cable car connections, which bring the region’s three large ski resorts closer together, there is also a new lift ticket – the SKI ALPIN CARD, which combines all advantages in one ticket. 408 kilometres of pistes and 119 lift facilities are available with just one ticket from winter 2019/2020. Uniform prices for ski day tickets, ski multi-day tickets as well as season and annual tickets apply in all three premium regions from then onward. In addition, the 365 CLASSIC Alpin Card and the 365 ACTION Alpin Card offer attractive all-year tariffs for mountaineers, mountain bikers and paragliders.
