EHC Red Bull München Cooperation
The cooperation between the German top ice hockey club Red Bull München from Munich and the Zell am See-Kaprun region has been in place since winter 2022/23. In 2026, we are also able to again welcome teams and fans of the international invitational tournament "Red Bulls Salute" to the ice rink in Zell am See.
Red Bull Ice Hockey Club
Founded in 1998, the club managed to rise from the lowest to the highest German division, the German Ice Hockey League, in just twelve years. On 1 May 2013, Red Bull became the sole shareholder, and the club has operated under the name EHC Red Bull München since then. The 2015/16 season marked the most successful era in the club's eventful history to date: the team celebrated winning its first German championship on 22 April 2016. The Red Bulls also won the title in 2017 and 2018 and in the 2022/23 season. In 2019, Red Bull München became the first and, so far, only German team to reach the final of the Champions Hockey League. Since autumn 2024, the home of EHC Red Bull Munich has been the SAP Garden, which also houses the club's office.
Red Bulls Salute | 21-22 August 2026
And again this year: top ice hockey in summer! Four first-class teams from various European leagues will compete against each other at the international invitational tournament "Red Bulls Salute" from 21 to 22 August 2026, organised by EHC Red Bull München and EC Red Bull Salzburg: In addition to the two organising teams, EHC Biel-Bienne from the Swiss National League and six-time Czech champions HC Dynamo Pardubice will be guests at the Red Bulls Salute in Zell am See-Kaprun this year. The matches will be staged at the KE Kelit Arena, which is the home of the EK Zeller Eisbären, and can accommodate up to 2,600 spectators. The tournament, which was first held in 2005, offers fans top ice hockey every year before the start of the ice hockey season.

Red Bulls Fan Ski Day
On 28 February 2026, the fourth EHC Red Bull Munich fan ski day took place - this time on the Kitzsteinhorn, after the Schmittenhöhe was the venue for the third fan ski day last year. Around 120 fans travelled from Munich to Zell am See-Kaprun by bus and then head straight onto the slopes.
