On the mountain

Accessible mountain adventures

Whether on the Schmittenhöhe or the Kitzsteinhorn: The cable cars in Zell am See-Kaprun take you up to the top - without any obstacles. Many of the cable cars on the Schmittenhöhe have lifts to the access level and wide, ground-level cabins that are also easy to use with a wheelchair - this is how you can also reach the panoramic platform “Kaiserblick”. The experience at over 3,000 metres on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier is also inclusive: all attractions around TOP OF SALZBURG are accessible (see below under mountain railways). Once at the top, accessible huts and mountain restaurants on both mountains await for a relaxing break - impressive mountain panorama included. Furthermore, even with limited mobility, you can experience the wintery nature and slopes through adaptive winter sports offers.
