Zell am See-Kaprun is very easy to reach thanks to the railway station in the town of Zell am See. Numerous direct services from many major European cities as well as attractive ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways) offers enable you to travel to your holiday destination in a comfortable and environmentally friendly way.

Our Schmittenhöhe and Kitzsteinhorn cable cars use 100% green electricity. This means that entirely renewable energies take you up the mountain and onto the glacier. Sustainable and responsible action is also consistently implemented in other areas of our mountain railway partners.
Guest Mobility Ticket:
As an overnight guest in Zell am See-Kaprun, you can use public transport throughout the federal state of Salzburg from 1 May 2025 - even on the day of arrival and departure. This way you can explore the region in a comfortable and environmentally friendly way, reduce CO2 emissions and contribute to improving air quality.
High mountain reservoirs in Kaprun:
Thanks to the power of nature, green electricity is generated in Zell am See-Kaprun. This not only supplies 122,000 households, but also saves more than half a million tonnes of CO2. Using the main traffic routes and motorways, you can reach Zell am See-Kaprun in just 1.5 hours from the city of Salzburg, and in 2.5 hours from Munich.
By plane
