The summit breakfast on the Kitzsteinhorn 3,029 metres above sea level is a treat that is really worth experiencing. Because up here you can taste and see regionality at the same time: While you enjoy breakfast specialities made from the best regional ingredients, you can look out over the mighty sea of peaks in the surrounding area. Breakfast on deck? Oh yes! In summer, the MS Schmittenhöhe invites you to a special start to the morning: a 2-hour panoramic round trip, including a brunch with local products on the sun deck. What a delicious start to the day!

Picnic on the mountain
Enjoyable picnics on lush green alpine meadows and quiet spots on the Maiskogel. Does that sound like music to your ears? On your excursion to the Maiskogel family mountain in Kaprun, a picnic hamper filled with the region’s finest products is your culinary companion. The best thing is to share it with your loved ones. 5 | Gorge(ous) Breakfast at Klammsee
While the turquoise-green Klammsee reservoir shimmers in the sunlight, you can work up an appetite on a mystical walk through the unique area near Kaprun. In the meantime, a team in a nearby kitchen works its magic: our fifth tip takes you to the regional breakfast menu of the Klammseestüberl. On hot days, the shaded terrace is the perfect place to cool off and start your day. And a Kneipp treatment beckons in the cool Klammsee reservoir after the delicious breakfast. A pick-me-up for sure!
