Sonnkogel Restaurant | Schmittenhöhe
If you want to get to know the regional Pinzgau cuisine with regional ingredients, then you can indulge at the Sonnkogel Restaurant. The mountain restaurant creates distinctive dishes from local herbs and focuses on down-to-earth classics.
Alpine Delight Trail "Lake" Around Lake Zell
Restaurant "Der Seewirt"
Edible fish from Lake Zell, such as whitefishes, pike or zander, as well as from various fish farms in the immediate vicinity are naturally part of the identity of the Seewirt, but game from local hunters is also frequently on the menu.
The Seewirt can also rely on a network of mushroom, berry and herb pickers who supply seasonal treasures from the forest. Even when it comes to cheese, the Seewirt is well positioned: Pinzgau grey cheese and alpine cheese come from Hans Gruber of the Tödling Alm on the nearby Hundsstein. Niki Lang gets refined soft and hard cheeses from the fine spirit distiller Siegfried Herzog.
