Cycling & Mountain Biking

Mountain bike tours, single trails & racing cycle tours

When the spring is coming in the sports region Zell am See-Kaprun then we take the racing cycle and pedal across low-traffic side roads or climb the most beautiful pass roads. Once the mountains and summits are snow-free in spring, we get on our mountain bikes and go on tour through beautiful forests, on stunning high plateaus and to quaint, cosy huts. For downhill runs into the valley, we prefer the freeride lines at the Kitzsteinhorn.

Mountainbike across stick & stone

Off-road to where the suspension fork and the "full suspension" get a good workout with you mountain bike. High on your bike, you have the situation under control. Mountain bike tours with views to the lake and the mountains mix with sporty cross-country race tracks and world-famous bike parks. "The narrower the trails, the better" - is the motto on the freeride trails at the Kitzsteinhorn while leisure and relaxation come first on the easy tours in the valley and on alpine pastures.

Please respect the boundaries to nature and animals. The following applies to off-road MTB routes.

On slim wheels with the racing cycle

The tyres buzz on the asphalt. You hear nothing but the continuous work of the chain and your fast breathing. You sit on your racing cycle and race on low-traffic side roads through the Zell am See-Kaprun region. On the Dienten Tour, you can almost touch the Hochkönig with your fingertips. A similar experience promises the "royal" uphill route along the Grossglockner High Alpine Road to the Franz-Josef-Höhe. The view to the glacier and the Grossglockner rewards for all the effort and hard work.

Brand new routes for the latest bike trend: Gravel biking

For road bikers who want to discover nature on a gravel bike and dare to turn off onto unsurfaced trails, Zell am See-Kaprun offers several brand new routes for comfortable and fast biking. Around Lake Zell, for example, you can bike on asphalt, gravel, forest ground or uphill to a summit.

A gravel bike is a mixture of a road bike and a mountain bike - the tyres have a tread pattern and are wider than road bike tyres, a light road bike frame and curved handlebars are ideal for changing grip & seating position. Gravel bikes are therefore ideal for touring on a wide variety of terrain. Nothing stands in the way of exploring the bike trail network. Try out the new bike trend sport!
