Tour description
Alpine crossing with panoramic views – from the Krefelderhütte to the Rudolfshütte through the impressive high mountain landscape of the Hohe Tauern.
This varied and challenging tour leads from the Krefelderhütte via old lift tracks and alpine paths through wild cirques, past picturesque lakes such as the Hacklsee and the Tauernmoossee, up to the Rudolfshütte. Trail 711 takes you through rocky terrain and high alpine landscapes to the Kleetörl and on to the Reichenbergkar. After a scenic traverse to the Wurfkar, you finally reach the Tauernmoossee, which you cross on the dam wall. The final ascent via the ‘Stiege’ takes you directly to the Rudolfshütte. Alternatively, you can descend to the Enzingerbodenstraße at the middle station. A real highlight for experienced mountain hikers!
