These four sporting challenges will not only get you fitter, but also help you become more focused, freer, and happier. We’ll support you in reaching your goals – with the right events, practical training tips and one promise to yourself: switch off everyday life. Switch on your time-out.

 

SWIM & RUN: TRIZELL AQUATHLON – for last-minute decisions
  • Date: 5 July 2025
  • Goal: TriZell Aquathlon – the perfect combination of swimming and running, right in the heart of Zell am See.
  • Why? Because the switch from water to land boosts freshness, focus and flow.
  • Training tip: Two sessions per week are enough to start with: breaststroke or front crawl in the indoor pool or Lake Zell, plus short runs with gentle increases. Bonus tip: simulate the transition – swim first, then run straight after. It trains your circulation and coordination.
  • Health benefit: Aquathlon strengthens the heart, lungs, muscles and mental endurance – with minimal impact on joints. Perfect for anyone seeking a spontaneous challenge or working towards a full triathlon.

TRAILRUNNING: GROSSGLOCKNER ULTRA-TRAIL (GGUT)
  • Date: 24 to 27 July 2025
  • Goal: Grossglockner Ultra-Trail 2025 – maybe not the full royal route of 110 km just yet, but the shorter distances of 57 km with 3,500 vertical metres or 35 km with 1,500 vertical metres are the perfect introduction to alpine running – and a true challenge.
  • Why? Because every metre of elevation grounds you, pushes you, and rewards you – with breathtaking views and inner strength.
  • Training tip: Build endurance on flat terrain, add climbs, and practise sure-footedness on roots and rocks.
  • Health benefit: Trail running improves stamina, coordination and mental focus. Nature becomes the best gym in the world.

LAUFEN: NIGHT RUN part of the IRONMAN 70.3 weekend
  • Date: 29 August 2025
  • Goal: Night Run Austria – an atmospheric 4.2-kilometre run through the twilight of Zell am See on 29 August 2025.
  • Why? Because running at sunset releases endorphins – and joy.
  • Training tip: Start with short distances at an easy pace, include walk breaks, and run two to three times per week. Try running in the evening – it helps your body adjust to the rhythm.
  • Health benefit: Running boosts cardiovascular fitness, reduces stress and supports healthy sleep. Short sessions are enough to stay strong in the long run.

Obstacle race & cOORDINATION: SPARTAN ZELL AM SEE-KAPRUN
  • Date: 12 to 14 September 2025
  • Goal: Spartan Zell am See-Kaprun – strength, endurance and mental toughness on the most challenging sightseeing tour in the Alps. Choose from 5, 10 or 21.1 kilometres.
  • Why? Because it takes more than fitness – teamwork, tactics and willpower matter too.
  • Training tip: Add bodyweight circuit training – push-ups, jumps, monkey bars, planks. Improve mobility with coordination ladders or balance exercises outdoors.
  • Health benefit: Obstacle racing sharpens body awareness, strengthens the core and builds resilience to stress – ideal for everyday life and beyond.
