Smartphone Ticket
Tips & Info
Available ski passes
These ski passes are available as smartphone tickets:
- Ski passes for 1 to 7 days
- Flex ticket 5 in 7 days
- Annual and season tickets (only in the online shops of Schmittenhöhe and Kitzsteinhorn)
Activating the smartphone ticket
To turn your smartphone into a ticket, you must first activate it. To do this, first load the ticket into the Zell am See-Kaprun App via the link in the purchase confirmation, and then activate it there in the digital wallet area.
Attention: The ticket can only be downloaded once via the link in the purchase confirmation, and only one ticket can be activated per device.
FORWARDING the smartphone ticket
If you have purchased a ticket for friends or family members, you can forward it to them. Either you send the purchase confirmation to the relevant person and they download the ticket themselves in the Zell am See-Kaprun App, or you use the share function in the app (by entering the email address via which the person is registered in the Zell am See-Kaprun App).
ATTENTION: Once the ticket has been activated, it can no longer be shared. And the ticket can only be downloaded once via the link in the purchase confirmation.
Shielding mobile phone cases
If you are using a shielding mobile phone case, this may restrict the Bluetooth function of your smartphone. No signal = no access.
Charged battery
Preparation is everything: Charge your smartphone before using the smartphone ticket, so that you can use it as a ticket throughout the day.
However, if your battery level drops below 30%, contact the staff on site in good time to obtain a KeyCard (only possible by showing the ticket on your smartphone).
Turnstile recognition
If you turn your upper body slightly to the left when approaching the turnstile, it will open more quickly.
Device check
Not every smartphone can be converted into a ticket; this is due to technical reasons with regards to the manufacturer. If the device check is negative, you also have other options for obtaining a ticket without having to wait long at the ticket desk. In the Zell am See-Kaprun shop and in the online shops of the Schmittenhöhe and the Kitzsteinhorn, there are the following alternatives: tickets are issued as a pick-up code (pick up the KeyCard at the machine), or topping up an existing KeyCard (if you have an old KeyCard to hand, you can top it up).
If you have already purchased a smartphone ticket and, contrary to expectations, your mobile phone is not compatible, please contact the staff on site.
Internet connection
A stable internet connection is required to purchase a smartphone ticket. Once activated, internet access is no longer needed.
No old KeyCards
Please remove all old KeyCards from past mountain adventures from your jacket and trouser pockets - the signal can interfere with the turnstile.
Error messages
In case of technical errors, error messages will be displayed in the Zell am See-Kaprun App. To avoid this, make sure that the required device settings for Bluetooth, location and energy-saving mode are maintained throughout use.
If error messages are displayed, instructions on how to resolve them are normally included. If you are still stuck, please contact the staff on site.
Deactivating the smartphone ticket
You can deactivate your smartphone ticket after use or during a break by clicking the corresponding button in the detailed view.
When the validity of your ticket has expired, it will automatically no longer be displayed in the digital wallet.
