Sisi Trail Hiking tours
Tour description
In the footsteps of Empress Sisi – a short circular walk with history and magnificent panoramic views over the Schmittenhöhe.
Over 120 years ago, Empress Elisabeth climbed the Schmittenhöhe to watch the sun rise over the Alps. The Elisabeth Chapel was built in her memory – today it is the start and end point of the Sisi Circular Trail. The trail is around one kilometre long and leads around the summit of the Schmitten, offering views of more than thirty three-thousand-metre peaks. The summit can be circumnavigated in just 30 minutes – a walk that combines enjoyment of nature with imperial history.
