Route description:
From Mitterberghof first on wide forest road (yellow signpost no. 82) and then on narrow wood path up to Schwalbenwand. Starting from the Schwalbenwand along the ridge (path no. 87) you reach the Schönwieskopf. From here you descend to Schützingalm and follow a wide forest road (number 83) to the starting point Mitterberghof.

Starting from Thumersbach (opposite the lido Thumersbach) on forest roads or on the asphalt road to Berggasthof Mitterberg in about 1 hour.

Tips
From Berggasthof Mitterberg you have one of the most beautiful views of the  Zell am See-Kaprun region.

Recommended equipment
good walking boots, protection against rain and sund is recommended and take your water bottle with you!

Alternatively, you can also start at the village square in Thumersbach. The route leads along meadow paths through the picturesque village of Loibldorf, past farms to the end of the Thumersbach valley.
