Three peaks, fantastic views and a truly idyllic mountain setting – a scenic circular route from Mitterberg for experienced hikers.
From the Mitterberg mountain inn, trail no. 82 leads along a forest road and forest path to the Schwalbenwand. Continue along the ridge (no. 87) to the Schönwieskopf and via the Schützingalm on forest road no. 83 back to the starting point. A varied circular hike with magnificent panoramic views of Lake Zell and the surrounding mountains.Tip: The Mitterberghof can also be reached from Thumersbach in about 1 hour.

From Mitterberghof first on wide forest road (yellow signpost no. 82) and then on narrow wood path up to Schwalbenwand. Starting from the Schwalbenwand along the ridge (path no. 87) you reach the Schönwieskopf. From here you descend to Schützingalm and follow a wide forest road (number 83) to the starting point Mitterberghof.

Alternatively, you can also start at the village square in Thumersbach. The route leads along meadow paths through the picturesque village of Loibldorf, past farms to the end of the Thumersbach valley.
