Tour description
Experience an impressive summit tour to the 2,470-metre-high Imbachhorn with breathtaking views and the opportunity to spend the night at the Gleiwitzerhütte mountain hut!
The tour starts at the top glacier car park in Kaprun and leads along a steep path through idyllic high and mixed forests to the Harleitenalm and on to the Brandlscharte. From there, it continues to the left to the summit of the Imbachhorn, which rewards you with a fantastic panorama. The descent can either be made back to Kaprun via trail no. 723 (approx. 4 hours) or via the picturesque Gleiwitzerhütte to Fusch (approx. 4 hours on trail no. 725). An overnight stay at the hut rounds off the mountain experience perfectly.

Here you have the possibility to decide if you want to turn right to Rettenzink or left for the trail to Imbachhorn. From the Imbachhorn you can walk back on the same path or take path no. 723 (4h) to the center of Kaprun. The third alternative is via the Gleiwirtzerhütte down to the valley of Fusch on path no 725 (4h).
