Tour description

Climb from the Mooserboden reservoir to the Heinrich Schwaiger Haus. Unique views and starting point for the Große Wiesbachhorn.

From the Mooserboden reservoir (2,040 m), a challenging trail  leads steeply uphill for around two hours to the Heinrich Schwaiger Haus at 2,802 m. The path runs over the dam wall, past the Möllzirkus, and offers impressive views of glaciers and peaks. A rewarding destination for sure-footed and experienced mountaineers. The onward route to the Große Wiesbachhorn (3,564 m) is a serious glacier tour and is only recommended with appropriate equipment and a mountain guide.
