The holiday region Zell am See-Kaprun is located between glacier, mountains and lake and can be reached quickly by train, by car and also by plane.
Arrival by train
The environmentally friendly arrival by train is easy: there are excellent train services from all Austrian cities, from Germany and Switzerland. The train station of Zell am See is located directly in the town centre. From there you can reach numerous hotels and restaurants on foot. If you are travelling to Kaprun or other towns, buses and the Pinzgau local railway are available.
With "ÖBB Transfer" directly from the train to your accommodation
The new shuttle service of the ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways) takes you comfortably from the train station in Zell am See to your holiday home in the Zell am See-Kaprun region - and of course back to the train at the end of your stay. The shuttles can be booked up to 48 hours before arrival. Arrival by car
You can reach Zell am See-Kaprun from Salzburg by car in about 1.5 hours, from Munich it takes about 2.5 hours. Well-developed main traffic routes and motorways bring you from both cities directly to your holiday destination. Important: In order to use the Austrian motorways by car, you need an Austrian motorway vignette.

- Coming from the south: A10 Tauern motorway
Update on the A10: Due to extensive repair work, there will be obstructions on the A10 Tauernautobahn motorway until June 2025. The roadworks will affect 14 kilometres of the motorway, and delays and traffic jams can be expected as only one lane of the road will be open.

Arriving by plane
Arriving by plane is possible from almost all European cities: Zell am See-Kaprun is only about 80 kilometres from Salzburg Airport and about 200 kilometres from Munich Airport. From there, numerous individual cab and shuttle services as well as public bus and train services bring you quickly to Zell am See-Kaprun.
