Winter on the Schmittenhöhe

The Schmittenhöhe, Zell's local mountain, is a real all-rounder in winter: here, beginners on skis feel just as comfortable as passionate piste pros, families and returning skiers. A total of 77 kilometres of pistes and perfectly groomed downhill runs await you here.

Those who want to give their skis a break will also find marked winter hiking trails on the Pinzgau adventure mountain, and guided snowshoe tours take place here several times a week. The numerous huts on the mountain are ideal for a stop in between. Enjoy the sun and the spectacular panorama: from the Schmitten you can see Lake Zell, the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and more than 30 three-thousand-metre-high peaks.
