Multimedia presentation with Markus Amon, senior flight paramedic with the ÖAMTC, state-certified mountain/ski guide, extreme mountaineer, and speed alpinist.

During this evening you will receive valuable fundamental knowledge on:

  • Snow and avalanche science
  • Searching for, locating, and digging out buried victims
  • Equipment
  • Choosing the right terrain
  • Assessing the snowpack
  • Correctly reading and understanding the avalanche report

Saturday, 31 January 2026 | 8 am | Practical Day with Markus Amon and the Kaprun Mountain Rescue

In this hands-on workshop you can expect:

  • Applying the theory training in practice 
  • Search for buried victims
  • Terrain assessment
  • Using various decision-making strategies in the field
  • First aid in the mountains, equipment check & tips

What you should bring:

  • Ski touring equipment – we will be heading into the terrain
  • Backpack with drinks & snacks
  • Shovel, probe, avalanche transceiver

Meeting point: 8 am at the Gletscherjet valley station

Cost: € 20 – refunded to you in the form of a Bründl Sports voucher.

If you need a lift ticket, you can get one at the reduced price of € 17 (ascent and descent to Langwied on the Kitzsteinhorn).

Free test equipment (shovel, probe, avalanche transceiver) is available with advance reservation at marketing@bruendl.at , while supplies last.
