3 Parks and a superpipe at Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun

Snowboarders, as well as free-skiers, will love the Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn, which is situated at an altitude of approximately 2,900 metres. This park offers abundant space for you to experiment with new moves. The highlight is Austria’s biggest super-pipe. The half pipe is 160 metres long and 6 metres high. Pipes are not your cup of tea? No problem, just take a seat in the spectators’ area and cheer on the brave skiers.  

Zell am See-Kaprun – Snow Park for families

Boarders and freestylers also like to hang out in the fun park on the Schmittenhöhe at the Hahnkopflift. This is the place to be for skiers and boarders who want to perfect their style. The trassXpress and the Areitbahn make sure you reach the mountain peak safely and swiftly. Families will love the MPark on the family mountain Maiskogel, which includes the Maisi-Phantasiepark for children. However, it also meets the needs of advanced skiers looking for action.

Austrian Freeski Open 2013 - Finals Men Reigning X-Games slopestyle champion Nick Goepper (USA) scored incredible 93.50 points in his first run, showing creative tricks on the rails and sticking a Switch Left Double Cork 1080 Japan and Switch Right Double Cork Misty 1260 Mute and so could ensure victory. James Woods (GBR) impressed with a Double Cork 1080 Japan and Right Double Cork 1260 Truckdriver and was rewarded with the 2nd spot on the podium. In 3rd place came McRae Williams (USA), who scored 92.00 points with a Switch Left Double Cork 1080 Japan and a Switch Right Double Cork 1080 Blunt on the two main kickers showing a lot of style in his run.

Sie ist neben den monströsen Pro Kickern im Central Park derzeit sicherlich die Attraktion schlechthin im Snowpark Kitzsteinhorn: Die Superpipe. Mit ihrem gigantischen Ausmaß von 135m Länge und 6m30 Höhe ist sie einfach nicht zu übersehen und ein Anziehungspunkt für Freestyler aus Nah und Fern, die sich wagemutig an den Walls in die Höhe katapultieren. Und so war es eigentlich nur eine Frage der Zeit, bis sich die ersten Pros zu einem gemeinsamen Film und Foto Shooting an der Superpipe treffen. ------ Besides the monstrous pro kickers at the Central Park, it's the Superpipe that gains the most attention right now at the Kitzsteinhorn. With its gigantic dimension of 135m length and 6m30 height, it's simply impossible to miss it and a real attraction pole for freestylers from near and far, who boost themselves into the sky along the massive walls. Hence it was just a question of time, until the first pros will get together for a film- and photo shooting at the Superpipe.
