The vast Zell am See-Kaprun skiing area is perfectly suited for professional skiers / snowboarders and beginners alike. Both the Schmittenhöhe and the Kitzsteinhorn promise pure skiing enjoyment on diverse ski slopes in the midst of snowy mountain landscapes. The Schmitten & Maiskogel are the perfect location for skiing families.

The skiing season in Zell am See-Kaprun starts early autumn and extends into early summer. On the Kitzsteinhorn glacier you can ski and snowboard on snow-covered slopes for ten months of the year.

Skiing in Zell am See-Kaprun on three multi-faceted mountains

Alongside the Schmittenhöhe with 77 kilometres and the Kitzsteinhorn with 41 kilometres of ski slopes, the Maiskogel family mountain with 20km of slopes also has excellent winter adventures in store. Professional skiers can enjoy steep slopes and spectacular descents on Schmittenhöhe or Kitzsteinhorn. But don't worry, there are a lot of easy slopes too. The Maiskogel and Schmittenhöhe are tailor made for the little guests. Zell am See-Kaprun also has challenges for thrill seekers. The Kitzsteinhorn is particularly popular among freeriders and freestyler. Off-piste tracks, powder and a huge fun park for all levels is guaranteed.

The ski shuttle transfers you from mountain to mountain swiftly - even free of charge if you hold a ski pass. So you are not a seasoned skier yet? Visit one of the numerous ski schools in Zell am See-Kaprun. The ski rental will supply you with adequate equipment.

In Zell am See-Kaprun your skiing vacation turns into a pleasure vacation. The unique winter sport possibilities are matched by local culinary art and après ski events. The Kitzsteinhorn boasts the so-called "Ice Camp", a fascinating igloo complex for party events, and "Gipfelwelt 3000", which is, among many things, famous for being the highest panorama platform in the Salzburg province.
