Around the Großglockner in 7 days
The Glockner Trail offers hikers and nature lovers a unique experience right in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. This great mountain trail around the Grossglockner massif takes hikers on a tour that passes between towering glaciers, high alpine peaks and pastures that have been cultivated by mountain farmers for centuries.

Stage 2 : Berghotel Rudolfshütte- Kalser Tauern- Gradötzsattel- Sudetendeutsche Hütte
Stage 3 : Sudetendeutsche Hütte- Hohes Tor- Kals
Stage 4 : Kals- Peischlachtörl- Glorer Hütte- Salmhütte
Stage 5 : Salmhütte- Leiteralm- Heiligenblut
Stage 6 : Heiligenblut- Schareck-Hochtor- Fusch
Stage 7 : Fusch- Gleiwitzer Hütte- Brandlscharte- Talstation Gletscherbahn Kaprun.
In 7 stages from Kaprun to Kals by the Grossglockner and via the Glocknerhaus and Fusch back to Kaprun.
The tour mainly spans high alpine terrain but can be negotiated by anyone with some alpine experience and corresponding fitness and equipment, as there are no glaciers or roping sections along the circuit. A head for heights and surefootedness are necessary.
