The Hohe Tauern Bike Trail takes you on a roughly 530-kilometre-long journey with 12,000 metres of elevation gain through one of the most impressive mountain landscapes in the Alps. In 14 varied stages, you'll experience the full diversity of the Hohe Tauern National Park – from gentle valley floors to alpine regions and impressive peaks like the Großglockner and Großvenediger.

The route connects authentic mountain villages in SalzburgerLand, offering nature experiences and spectacular panoramas. The trail leads predominantly along forest and alpine paths as well as quiet side roads, thus enabling a particularly nature-oriented biking experience.
Numerous highlights await along the route, including traditional alpine huts, crystal-clear mountain lakes, and impressive waterfalls – among them the famous Krimml Waterfalls. Whether by mountain bike or e-bike, the Hohe Tauern Bike Trail combines a sporty challenge with full-scale enjoyment of nature, presenting a unique way to experience the Alps on two wheels.
