The wait is over: Just in time for the start of summer, Austrian guests can once again experience the holiday variety in Zell am See-Kaprun without worries from 29 May 2020 onwards. For the border with Germany, the Austrian Federal Government, in coordination with the German Federal Government, has announced the complete reopening as of 15 June. With the possibility of free of charge cancellation or change of booking up to 48 hours before arrival, the "BOOKING WITHOUT WORRIES" campaign guarantees guests of the region flexibility and 100% planning security for a summer holiday in Zell am See-Kaprun.

Legendary Ice Race Zell am See-Kaprun: Round two for the GP Ice Race with 16,000 visitors

Following the successful premiere last year, the two initiators Ferdinand Porsche and Vinzenz Greger decided to hold a second edition of the GP Ice Race. The event with top stars such as Marcel Hirscher and Axel Lund Svindal was staged on 1 and 2 February 2020 and thrilled 16,000 viewers at the Zell airfield.

AROO: Zell am See-Kaprun turned into a Spartan hotspot again

The largest obstacle race series in the world, the Spartan Race, took place for the second time as winter edition in Zell am See-Kaprun on 11 and 12 January 2020. The only winter Spartan Race in the entire German-speaking area attracted 4,000 competitors from 33 nations, who brought the Spartan lifestyle back to the region.

Out and about in Pinzgau: With the introduction of the Mobility Card, Tourismusverband Zell am See-Kaprun provides a new offer: for the first time, all guests staying in Zell am See-Kaprun overnight can use all means of public transport throughout Pinzgau for free from May onward
