Ice skating on Lake Zell is a special winter experience: on the north shore in the Wieshof | Hospital area, a designated part of the ice surface is open to the public.

When Lake Zell freezes over in winter, ice skating becomes a unique experience in nature. On the northern shore of the lake, in the Wieshof | Hospital area, a designated part of the ice surface is officially open for ice skating. Here you can glide safely across the ice and enjoy the winter landscape around Zell am See. At the same time, special caution is advised: under no circumstances should you enter any areas of the lake that are not open to the public. Doing so could put your life at risk. Please always stay within the marked areas and follow the instructions of the local authority to ensure that your winter fun remains safe.
