Culinary Ski Days with Falstaff

The best thing about skiing - apart from long downhill runs - is stopping for a bite to eat: After skiing, a snack at a ski hut tastes twice as good. If you feel the same way, then you can look forward to very special treats in Zell am See-Kaprun in March: On two weekends, the Toque chefs and vintners of the region will be guests at the Culinary Ski Days with Falstaff and invite you to a culinary winter holiday. Newly created ski hut classics await you on the Schmittenhöhe, glasses are filled with premium wines in Zell am See, exclusive "Austrian Tapas" invite in the Ice Camp on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier and there are many other delicious experiences.

Not many can claim to have enjoyed creations by an Austrian top chef in an impressive mountain setting. Soon you will have the opportunity to do so: The Culinary Ski Days in Zell am See-Kaprun offer numerous culinary highlights from the start to the finale. We introduce you to two of these events and provide a short preview of the overall programme.

Dishes reinterpreted: Ski & Culinary Classics, Schmittenhöhe

Friday, 11 - Sunday, 13 March 2022

On the very first weekend, you can certainly look forward to the delicacies of the Culinary Ski Days. If hunger strikes on the pistes of the Schmittenhöhe, exclusive taste experiences – created by the region's top chefs - will be served at six ski huts on Zell am See's local mountain. Ski hut food has never tasted so sophisticated - especially when accompanied by a matching wine from Falstaff award-winning Austrian vintners.

Austrian Tapas on ice | ICE CAMP presented by Audi on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier

Friday, 18 March 2022, 12-4 pm | Admission fee: € 29

On the second weekend, enjoyment is celebrated at the highest level at an exclusive event. And what place would be more fitting than the sublime Kitzsteinhorn itself?

While guests can marvel at ice sculptures and car exhibits in the "ICE CAMP presented by Audi", the award-winning chef Thomas Pichlmaier serves his baked Pinzgauer Nidei, handmade Tafelspitz ravioli and fried chicken in mayonnaise made with pumpkin seed oil arranged on the plate as an ensemble of "Austrian Tapas".
