Thanks to the 3K K-onnection, the eternal ice of the glacier and "Top of Salzburg" in 3,029 metres above sea level on the Kitzsteinhorn can now be accessed for the first time directly from Kaprun on an incomparable panoramic cable car ride.

On the viewing platforms in over 3,000 metres above sea level, guests enjoy magnificent views of Austria's highest mountains and the pristine, high alpine wilderness of the neighbouring Hohe Tauern National Park.

The Ice Arena offers summer refreshment and fun in the snow with toboggan and snow disc runs on the glacier plateau. Numerous hiking trails lead from the valley to the world of eternal ice and you can climb the 3,203 metres high Kitzsteinhorn on the guided "My first three-thousand-meter high mountain" summit tour.

As a popular panorama and family mountain, the Schmittenhöhe can be easily reached by mountain railway and offers a wide range of activities and experiences, including numerous hiking and adventure trails with 360-degree panoramic views, for everyone.

The high-altitude promenade, the herb hiking trail as well as the new "Mystic Forest" saga hiking tour offer a fantastic view to over thirty three-thousand-metre-high mountains and Lake Zell. On the Schmittenhöhe, an incomparable combination of panoramic views, cosy sun terraces and alpine culinary delights awaits you at one of the numerous mountain huts.

Cool kids enjoy "Schmidolin's Adventure World" and Salzburg's only e-motocross park.

Summer, sun, lakeside holiday

With its location and crystal-clear water, Lake Zell is one of Austria’s most beautiful lakes. The three lidos and many public swimming areas with large sunbathing lawns are the highlight for all water fans and sun worshippers.

In summer, the lake reaches pleasant water temperatures of around 24 degrees. The open-air pools offer numerous amenities from heated pools, diving towers, water trampolines or giant slides to children's playgrounds.

Action is guaranteed with sports activities on the water: surfing, stand-up paddling, pedal boats and more. The panoramic boat tours offer particularly beautiful views of the lake and the mountains.
