Festspiele der Alpinen Küche
From 14th to 16th of September 2019, Zell am See-Kaprun will be at the center of Alpine cuisine.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH - ALPINE FINGERFOOD, ALPINE DRINKS & SOUNDS AT THE SCHMIEDHOFALM
At this first get-together for the media representatives in the panoramic summit restaurant "Franzl" on the Schmittenhöhe, the focus will be on Alpine basic products such as herbs, mushrooms, fish, beef and sheep meat and wild fruits. Finger food and drinks are prepared by prominent guest chefs.
Afterwards, the official opening of the festival takes place with a flying buffet.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 - CLASSIC ALPINE CUISINE ON 3,029 METERS
- lunch for members of the press in the Kitzsteinhorn-Gipfelwelt 3000 with the best products from local production by the cooks from Kitzsteinhorn.
- International guests will get to know different top restaurants in Zell am See and SalzburgerLand this evening.
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 - STAGE COOKING AT THE FERRY PORSCHE CONGRESS CENTER
For everyone, on Monday, 16th of September, the main event with cooking presentations will take place on Monday at the Ferry Porsche Congress Center in Zell am See. Here, many top stars from the Alpine region will present their kitchen philosophy and signature dishes of their alpine cuisine!
The program is supplemented on stage by a food market of regional producers in the foyer and outside of the Congress Center.
10.00am: Opening of the Alpine Cuisine Festival
10.15am: Keynote Speaker Dominik Flammer & Panel Discussion "Alpine Kitchen"
11.30am - 6.00pm: Twelve cooking presentations of 30 minutes lasting alternately in the big hall (300 seats) and on the smaller workshop stage (80 seats).
