Helping people in need is important and is practiced very successfully. Even animals need help and additionally they need a mouthpiece. We humans can communicate. Animals can’t, but like us, they feel pain, grief and suffering. That's what we shouldn’t forget.

Robert Gstaltmaier is nature lover and hobby photographer. He has been interested in the African continent for many years. Fascinated by the land, wildlife and people, he tours Africa in regular intervals. Now there are many thousands of images and videos of animals and the impressive landscape of Africa as well as the people living there, which have been put together to an Audio-Vision | Show.
Poaching | endangers elephants
Did you know that elephants are among the endangered species? Today, this particular species is endangered by ongoing poaching due to ivory. As long as there is a demand for ivory, elephants will continue to be killed for their tusks. Poaching in Africa today behaves like organized drug trafficking.
Current counts and estimates of killed pachyderms show that 35.000 to 40.000 elephants are killed each year because of ivory. As a result, this species is threatened with extinction, because there are only 450.000 to 650.000 elephants worldwide. If poaching continues as it is done today by organized gangs of poachers, then in ten to fifteen years these wonderful creatures will not exist anymore.
Value | Ivory - Gold
Also, know that ivory is currently more valuable than gold. Surely you have heard in several reports that elephants share certain emotions and cognitive behaviors and behavioral traits with us humans.
The animals mourn their loved ones, they feel fear, joy and empathy, that is the ability to recognize, understand and empathize feelings, emotions, thoughts, motives but also personality traits of their kind.
They are also praised for their intelligence. Unfortunately, many people in the modern world believe that they can do everything with their money. Due to this absurd mental picture, many animals are getting more and more in distress.
These people forget that by indirectly inciting poaching and the ensuing slaughter of animals, they also put themselves in distress, endangering their own survival. The fight against poaching and the conservation of wildlife in Africa is a never-ending concern.
In addition, the protection of animals is for the animal rights activists very dangerous, and also associated with high costs. That's enough to fight against poaching in Africa. Due to the death of the mother animals, the young are also in distress. They ultimately die of loneliness or starvation, or they are torn by predators because they are unprotected.
Elephants | orphanage
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, a private and charitable organization, has been successfully taking care of orphaned elephant and rhinoceros babies for many years. The animals fortunate enough to come to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust will eventually return to the wilds of Africa after orderly man-rearing.
The Trust includes all measures necessary for the conservation and protection of wild animals. In addition to the anti-poaching campaign, this includes the safe guarding of the animals' natural environment. Improving understanding between humans and animals, supporting animal welfare issues and providing veterinary assistance to animals in need are all integral parts of the DSWT.
Elephants | protection
Let us protect the magnificent gray and red giants of Africa. Nobody needs a figure from an elephant's tusk. However the elephant needs his tusk ! Elephants are fascinating animals and have a right to life, just as we.
To help the pachyderms and protect them sustainably, it needs our help. For this reason, the donation project "Wildlife Moments" was founded by Robert Gstaltmaier as a non-profit company. By attending the Wildlife Moments events and purchasing the photo book, you will be 100% supported by the Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi.
