Tarzan - The Musical
Tarzan - The Musical
Spectacular original compositions, plenty of suspense, and a touch of romance create an entertaining live experience for the whole family. Theater Liberi, known for its modern family musicals, stages Edgar Rice Burroughs’ hundred-year-old story in a contemporary version. A highly trained ensemble ensures that characters, music, and scenery merge into a unique overall stage experience.
A young family is shipwrecked and, shortly after reaching the African coast, is attacked by wild animals. A small boy is left behind, alone and orphaned, and is taken in by the ape mother Kala, who raises him as her own child. Although Tarzan finds a home among the apes and a good friend in the young ape girl Tee, the leader Kerchak still makes him feel, even after many years, that he does not truly belong. The feeling that he still has to find his place in the world grows stronger when Tarzan meets humans for the first time. Professor Porter, his curious daughter Jane, and the mysterious Olivia Clayton are on an expedition to explore the jungle. Over time, Tarzan and Jane grow closer, but then events take a dramatic turn, and Tarzan and his ape family face great danger...
