Playfully learning the basics of MTB trail riding

In this workshop, professional mountain bikers introduce kids and teens aged eight years and older to the world of trail riding – covering everything from proper braking over smooth shifting to perfect cornering techniques. After a dry run at the Kaprun Center, participants take the MK Maiskogelbahn to the top station. Here, the access point to the Maiskogel Trail awaits you: With its wide and tight berms, waves and small jumps, the 3.7-km-long run is ideal for putting what has been learned into practice.

Top tip: For adults, the Trail Tuesday – a professional workshop on ideal MTB downhill techniques – takes place every Tuesday at the Maiskogel.

• Meeting Point: in front of the Kaprun Center cash desk (MK Maiskogelbahn valley station – Kitzsteinhornplatz 1a, 5710 Kaprun
• Duration: approx. 3 hours 
• Requirements: balance and safe riding on flat terrain
• Mandatory gear: Mountainbike, helmet, gloves, knee & elbow pads, back protector (optional); rental equipment available at Bründl Sports
• Costs: € 30 (lift ticket and rental equipment not included)
• Booking: until Thursday (day prior) 4 pm at the latest
