Forest bathing - shinrin yoku in Japanese - means immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the forest with all your senses. It doesn't always have to be summits - no sport, no hiking, but a mindful experience: listening to the rustling of the leaves, inhaling the scent of resin, feeling the silence, simply being.

What was originally developed in Japan as a response to increasing everyday stress is now scientifically proven nature therapy - and a gentle way to bring body and mind back into harmony. What forest bathing can do (scientifically proven):

  • strengthens the immune system & activates self-healing powers
  • lowers blood pressure, pulse and stress hormones such as cortisol
  • calms the nervous system & improves sleep quality
