Pistes for experts
Black pistes for experts
For ski experts, there are two perfect challenges in Zell am See-Kaprun: the Trass on the Schmittenhöhe or the Black Mamba on Kitzsteinhorn. These two ski pistes are "deep" black, steep and challenging. Just right for you if you like to push your carving ski with power into the turns, prefer proper inclines in the curves and love it when you can really feel your thighs.
"Trass" -a real ski sport legend
The legendary "Trass" leading from the Schmittenhöhe requires plenty of stamina, power and good skiing technique. The difference of 1.000 altitude metres and a length of 4.150 metres result in incline of up to 70% - here you better know what to do. But anyone who dares to take this challenge will be rewarded with fantastic ski sport and sporty pistes. Locals and non-locals alike are delighted when the Zell am See Ski Club invites to the Trass Run - an event once a year for real skiers and fans of a wild ride across the region's blackest piste.
Black Mamba - and you will feel it ...
... in your thighs when you ski down the Black Mamba at the Kitzsteinhorn in one go. The Black Mamba is perfect for the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier ski resort where action, thrill and challenge are on the agenda. A really steep, black piste is a must for any good ski resort. The Black Mamba, with an incline of 63%, is really steep. The black piste, No. 14, is 1.000 metres long and crosses 290 altitude metres. This combination results in a slope where pros and experts can go full steam ahead. Are you ready fo the Balck Mamba?
