over the valley limits
"Over the valley limits" - a particularly exciting novelty awaits guests which will be able to directly reach the panorama & family ski area Schmittenhöhe from Glemm Valley. From the new valley station in the village of Viehhofen, the zellamseeXpress takes you directly to the home moutain of Zell am See.
From 7 December 2019
you can access the Schmittenhöhe family- and panorama ski resort by zellamseeXpress from yet another valley. The first section of the zellamseeXpress leads directly from the Glemm Valley to the winter sports and hiking paradise with its spectacular panoramic view to over 30 three thousand metres high mountains. Starting from the new lower terminus, the ski bus takes you also to the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn within a few minutes. The straightforward and comfortable connecting slope Piste 68, with natural snow, takes you back directly to the lower terminus of the zellamseeXpress in Viehhofen from where you take the lift uphill to the Schmittenhöhe.
The foundation for the zellamseeXpress in the first expansion phase, during which the 3.5 km long piste was modernised, was already laid in 2017. The next phase follows in December 2019. This means that winter sportsmen and women from the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn can board the lift towards Schmittenhöhe directly at the lower terminus in Viehhofen from winter 2019/2020 onwards.
