There is a very special house on the Kirchbichl in Kaprun: The old Steiner Farmhouse, which is a listed building, contains 400 years of history. This is the home of the Kaprun Museum. You can amble through four exciting exhibitions on an area of 140m2 during your visit: Find out more about the first traces of settlement, get to know the pioneers of tourism or learn something new about the construction of power plants. The local history museum also accommodates an exhibition dedicated to the development of the glacier cableways. The Steiner Farmhouse also regularly hosts a variety of special exhibitions. In addition, the Holzofenstüberl café is located on the ground floor: here you can sample delicacies from the local baker.
