Hiking on the Schmittenhöhe

The panoramic and family mountain in Zell am See is the first choice for scenic hiking tours with the whole family. The hiking trails are clearly marked and many can also be easily managed by children. There is plenty of time to enjoy the impressive view! A popular hiking destination is, among others, the high-altitude promenade, enjoyable and easy is the Sisi circular hiking trail. If you have the whole day, don't miss the "Pinzgau Walk"!

Hiking on the Kitzsteinhorn

The contrast to the gentle grass mountains is the majestic world of the Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun. The glacier region is situated directly at the entrance to the Hohe Tauern and offers you high alpine views. If you don't want to hike on your own, it's best to rely on the experience of qualified guides and hiking guides who will accompany you safely through rock and ice. Further down in the valley is the family mountain Maiskogel. It offers child-friendly hiking trails and cosy huts. The two mountains - the Kitzsteinhorn and the Maiskogel - can be combined via the well-known Alexander Enzinger Trail.

The cosy huts and alpine pastures in the Zell am See-Kaprun region invite you to take a break or spend the night on the mountain.
