This mountain hut has been owned by the Dürlinger family since around 1830. Its 214 hectares of high pastures are still actively used for hill farming and grazing during the summer months.
A visit to the Unterbergalm is especially recommended for families with children and prams. The hut can easily be reached from the mountain station of the MK Maiskogel gondola lift in just a 30-minute walk along a flat forestry lane. Once at the hut, you will be able to enjoy the magnificent mountain views as you sip on a glass of fresh alpine milk or a mug of homemade elderberry juice.
For your return trip, we recommend taking along a treat or two from the various products that are produced right there at the hut.
Closed on Wednesdays!
