One of the town’s most beautiful oases of peace and quiet is not far from Lake Zell: Prielau Castle with its Schlosswirtschaft restaurant. Here you can sample traditional Pinzgau dishes by the open fire in elegantly furnished rooms or on the terrace in the green surroundings of the estate.

Prielau Castle, which dates back to the 16th century, is now known for its fine cuisine and hotel business under the management of one of the most famous chefs in SalzburgerLand. Although the building has already undergone a modern makeover, the castle's long history and medieval character can still be detected: In this special atmosphere, the owners Andreas and Anette Mayer invite you to the Schlosswirtschaft. Authentic regional specialities are served here - not far from Lake Zell. Prepared with a lot of love and made from fresh, seasonal food, here you enjoy a piece of Pinzgau’s culinary history with minced veal patties, creamy spinach dumplings and dishes with fresh fish from the restaurant’s own fish farm.
