Day 1 | Welcome to Zell am See-Kaprun
Arrival in Zell am See-Kaprun
Day 2 | Schmittenhöhe 360° panoramic view to thirty 3.000 m high mountains & the famous ”Pinzgau Walk“
You float 2,000 m uphill to the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See in a Porsche Design Gondola or with trassXpress in the morning, and enjoy a stunning view to thirty 3,000 m high mountains. A short visit to the charming “Sisi Chapel” is a must. Then you hike on one of the most beautiful high routes in the Eastern Alps – the Pinzgau Walk to Saalbach.
You hike from the Schmittenhöhe beneath the ridge to the Hochsonnbergalm (serviced). Along the route are descents to, for example, Niedernsill or Hinterglemm. Your hiking tour leads you to the upper terminus of the Schattberg X-Press in Saalbach. This is followed by a downhill ride on the Schattbergbahn-Ost to Saalbach. From there, the bus will take you back to Zell am See.

Day 3 | Stunning views to the Schwalbenwand in Thumersbach, Zell am See
Today, you hike from Thumersbach, Zell am See, to the Berggasthof Mitterberg inn and from there to the beautiful Schwalbenwand summit. You reach Thumersbach by taken the bus or a boat ride across Lake Zell. You start your hiking tour in Thumersbach and hike past old farms. An opportunity for a stop offers the Berggasthof Mitterberg inn with a unique view or the Schützingalm later on. From the Berggasthof Mitterberg inn, you can take a circular hiking route and return via the Schützingalm. You can reach the Mitterberghof also by taxi transfer or car.

Day 4 | Schmittenhöhe 360° panoramic view to thirty 3.000 m high mountains & amazing valley hiking tour
In the morning, you float on the Sonnenalmbahn and Sonnkogelbahn or with the trassXpress 2,000 m uphill to the Sonnkogel or the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See and enjoy the stunning view to thirty 3.000 m high mountains. You walk on the high-altitude promenade to the Schmittenhöhe and then you hike downhill in direction Schüttdorf, areitXpress. Once arrived in Schüttdof in the valley, you can continue on foot to Kaprun or you take the postbus 660 (included in the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card and the Mobility Card). From today, you spend 3 nights in Kaprun. Your luggage is transferred to Kaprun for you.

Day 5 | Kitzsteinhorn Glacier with Gipfelwelt 3.000 & “Alexander Enzinger Trail - Panorama Hiking Tour“
In the morning, you take the postbus 660 (included in the Zell am See-Kaprun Summer Card and the Mobility Card) from your hotel to the lower terminus of the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. You continue your ascent on the glacier mountain railways to the stunning Kitzsteinhorn. Here you visit the unique Gipfelwelt 3.000 with many attractions in 3.000 m above sea level.
You then start the fantastic ”Alexander Enzinger Trail- Panorama Hiking Tour" at the Alpincenter/ Kitzsteinhorn (downhill ride with 1 mountain railway). You hike in direction Maiskogel and can then take a beautiful valley hiking tour or use the new MK Maiskogelbahn for the downhill ride to your accommodation in Kaprun.
The tour can also be done in the opposite direction, therefore you can take the MK Maiskogelbahn and 3K K-onnection from Kaprun to the Kitzsteinhorn. On top of Kitzsteinhorn you can visit the Gipfelwelt 3000 and from the Alpincenter you hike back to the Maiskogel via the "Alexander Enzinger Trail". In the 3K K-onnection you can enjoy the 360° panorama in direction to Kitzsteinhorn. The 3K K-onnection can be used for a surcharge with the Summer Card.

Day 6 | Summit victory at the mighty Imbachhorn
Top-motivated and refreshed, you enjoy an absolute hiking highlight today. Starting point is opposite of the car park of the Kaprun glacier mountain railways (accessible by postbus 660), from where you climb across the Brandlscharte to the mighty Imbachhorn. Once arrived at the summit, you enjoy a fantastic view, relax and recharge your batteries. You hike downhill via the Imbachsteig and spend your last night in Kaprun in your accommodation.

Day 7 | “See You“ in Zell am See-Kaprun
A great day starts with a delicious breakfast at your hotel. After check-out, you can spend your last day just as you wish. Relax in the fantastic TAUERN SPA Zell am See-Kaprun, visit the unique High Mountain Reservoirs in Kaprun or hike through the Sigmund Thun Gorge in Kaprun – these are just some of many great possibilities in the Zell am See-Kaprun region.
