Mozart opens the gateway to the world

Salzburg's airport 'W. A. Mozart' is situated a mere four kilometres from the city centre. Hence getting there is pretty easy for the guests of Zell am See-Kaprun. There are commercial flights on a daily basis to most European metropolitan cities, from Barcelona to Warsaw. Since its opening in 1926, the airport has become a hub for tourists from all over the world. In fact, more than 1.8 million passengers flew out of or into Salzburg in 2006.

There are a mere 80 kilometres between the airport tarmac and the ski pistes. Zell am See-Kaprun can be reached via the A 1 motorway and other main roads in the twinkling of an eye. The route will take you through picturesque landscapes all the way into the very heart of Pinzgau. You will not even have to get a rental car: thanks to the existing transfer service, you will not have to worry about getting here at all!

From the airport terminal all the way to the hotel: with the Vorderegger express bus or the shuttle service of the taxi company you can get directly from the airport to Zell am See and Kaprun. Both buses and taxis come and go several times a day, making sure our guests are taken from the airport's manoeuvring area to the Alpine paradise and back again. Those who prefer to touch down in grand style may charter a helicopter to make their way into the centre of Pinzgau.
