Schöffel Alpen-Trophy
Hands-on automobile history: the Schöffel Alpen-Trophy will see 80 teams in their rare treasures on four wheels starting on a great vintage car race through Zell am See and Kaprun. A mountain prologue and a city sprint are just two of a number of different events that are on the programme from Thursday to Saturday. If you are interested in these historic vehicles, make sure to find yourself a place along the course in good time: the first vehicle is to start off at 14.15 on Thursday. The presentation ceremony and the dinner take place at the Grand Hotel on Saturday.

Evening in the tradition
The traditions of the province of Salzburg are as versatile as its nature is. The Ferry Porsche Congress Center presents the most beautiful customs in the course of five evenings. You'll learn about the Ribbon Dance and the Woodcutters' Dance and the musical highlight will be the glockenspiel. The doors of the congress house open at 8.30 p.m.

After the world championship comes the new season. But what do ice hockey fans do in between? This year they can look forward to the recently established pre-season league 'European Trophy'. 18 of the best teams from the entire continent will be competing against each other to win the title of this 'Champions League on Ice'. And the best is yet to come: six play-off matches during the final tournament called 'Red Bulls Salute' are taking place in Zell am See-Kaprun from 3rd to 5th September. Enjoy breathtaking ice hockey action at this showdown of the best European teams on the icy hunting grounds of Zell's Polar Bears!

Autumn Farmers Fair
The town square of Zell has many faces. The centre of the town changes its outfit on a pretty regular basis. At the beginning of autumn, the centre of the community boasts its traditional array: as part of the annual farmers’ fair in autumn, the most wonderful specialties as well as the most beautiful old customs are celebrated. You can enjoy live music and be sauntering along from 8 o'clock in the morning to 3 o’clock in the afternoon. You’ll see that the time just flies by…

Dance the lake

Dance the Lake: taking to the floor of a floating ballroom Every Friday, the cruise liner MS Schmittenhöhe turns into a floating ballroom. After the resounding success of the dance evening 'Pirnis Plattenkiste' organized by the Austrian TV station ORF in May, the event is continued as a series titled 'Dance the Lake'. Guests can perform their best foxtrot steps and most elegant twists to the sound of oldies and other popular melodies played live. MS Schmittenhöhe pulls the anchor at 7.30 pm but returns to the pier every hour to take new guests aboard. You still feel a little clumsy on the dance floor? No problem: the members of Zell's dance sport club give tips for the perfect steps.
